This is a document whereby an individual chooses and authorises someone to appear on their behalf in Civil Matters for example in a publication of a deed.
Indeed, there are two types of Powers of attorney: One being the General Power of Attorney meaning that which gives various powers to the chosen Attorney and the other being the Special Power of Attorney being that which gives a specific power to the Attorney being authorised for example to appear on a deed of house of sale only.
It is very important that the Notary explains well the consequences of such Power of Attorney and this since the said document is a very powerful one and can have various consequences.
Good Afternoon, Notary Dr. Clara Farrugia Grixti
